In less than two weeks on Tuesday, November 7, Ohio voters will be voting on two ballot initiatives.

There is a lot of confusion around one initiative in particular – Issue 2. Issue 2 is all about the prices of medications for people who get their health insurance through the state, such as people on Medicaid, state employees, and possibly retired state employees. This is about 4 million people.

Issue 2 would require that the state pay no more for medications than what the Federal Department of Veteran Affairs pays for those same medications.

To help you better understand what’s on the line with Issue 2, our partner research and education organization, Citizens for Community Values put together this resource.
